Back to KM Basics
In the current upside down world we are in, Holly Hanna and Adam Dedynski talk about going back to the basics. I can't agree more with the sentiment, "When it comes to quick-response, boots on the ground KM work, the fundamentals matter." Nick Milton invites to take part in his global, triennial series of surveys of knowledge management practices. It will be interesting to see if these COVID-19 results will depart from previous directions. Read more at:

Finally open for business
After suffering a devastating ransomware attack at the end of February, Epiq is back on line. According to the post, "Further, we can confirm that Mandiant has found no evidence that any client data was accessed, misused, or exfiltrated." I am curious, if you were an Epiq customer, were you able to stick with them for the month-long downtime and what you think is different with them now? Read more at epiq news: Client Systems Restored

Laugh it off, and move on
When you can't leave your house, what do you do? When almost all in-person hearings and oral arguments have effectively been canceled or postponed, how do you keep the court systems running? For justice sake, David Conrad, Jackob Ben-Ezra, Steven Katz and Susan Morrison discuss various technical alternatives with some much appreciated realism. I love their conclusion, "Remote advocacy is an imperfect alternative to a traditional in-person hearing. It will be frustrating. It will be unnatural. With people attending from their own homes, there will be surprise visitors like children and dogs. This is the new normal. Laugh it off, and move on." Be sure to read more at Law360: Client Advocacy Tips For Remote Hearings During COVID-19
