The new paths to partnership?
This post took me back to early 2018 when I presented at the premier ALT cntrl-alt-del: Networking Rebooted conference, with Sally Gonzalez. Our topic was The Changing Legal Landscape: Envisioning the AI-Enabled Legal Team of the Future. The idea of AI causing a major disruption to training and the path to partnership for younger attorneys was raised by more than one of our breakout groups. When the menial, or basic formative legal work is done by computer, how do you grow and gain experience as a lawyer? There are more questions then answers. Failure to adopt
Have you heard about the technically perfect projects that were complete and utter failures? Perhaps you recall the term shelfware? I remember the first time I heard it was related to the early days of he CRM tool, InterAction. Big firms bought it, hundreds, thousands of licenses even. The number of people actually using it was a mere fraction of those bought. The most perfect of deployments and projects are complete failures if no one ends up using it. Invest some time in reading this series from Traveling Coaches and NetDocuments so you can work toward 100% adoption! Very helpful
You need to click on the image to remove the blurriness and resolve it to its full size. When you do, you'll see the differences between debate and dialogue. This can be helpful in many ways. It can be helpful in working with attorneys and it can be helpful in trying to converse on the weighty issues of the day. Read more at Stephen's Lighthouse: Debate versus Dialogue

|
|
Zola Suite
The sudden shift to remote work highlighted massive flaws in the technology stacks of firms across the country. Leaders have recognized that investing in technology is not merely important, it's urgent. Making major technological upgrades, however, is no easy feat; it requires extensive strategic planning and the buy-in of firm leaders and staff. Gail Ruopp, former firm administrator and legal practice consultant, shares important steps that all practices should consider to ensure successful selection and adoption of new technology.
