Good morning!
In anticipation of increased Congressional oversight activity after the elections, DLA Piper is launching a congressional investigations unit led by Brian Rios, former counsel to Democrats on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, and Jake Greenberg, who was general counsel for Republicans. In technology, we have an article describing Open AI's unauthorized intrusion into Hugging Face's infrastructure, and some takeaways for law firms from this incident.
In lateral moves: Greenberg Traurig continued its active hiring, bringing on Blank Rome's Dorsey for litigation work. Bracewell employed SDNY fraud and cyber chief Dina McLeod in New York, and Fox Rothschild nabbed a BakerHostetler FDA regulatory partner in DC. Holland & Hart deepened its federal affairs and environmental capabilities with Jake Tyner.
