George Jetson: Plumber

Consider Larry Dignan's opening in his blog post from Sunday: "Enterprise software could be disrupted as category windows become collateral damage to generative AI. The scenario: Today's go-to systems are relegated to plumbing as generative AI becomes the de facto user interface that democratizes data, insights, analytics and automation." I had not considered all my major tools being pushed into pure plumbing with genAI being the access method. This would be big time Jetsons thinking. Be sure to read more at constellation research blog: GenAI may be the new UI for enterprise software

Damned either way!

From across the sea, we've got Rachel Rothwell's post about a presentation to the Professional Negligence Bar Association. Basically it is laid out as the use of AI as a damned if you do or dammed if you don't scenario. Rachel ends with "Even if the professionals will be damned if they do use AI and damned if they don't use AI, professional negligence lawyers will be in great demand - whatever happens." I think that if your willing to invest the time and energy to learn and it is better to be damned for doing. If you aren't willing to make that investment, it is probably better to be dammed for not doing. Read more at The Law Society Gazette: Will AI spark a new type of negligence claim?
