So shiny!

I hope the answer to Caroline Byrne's question, "Will Lawyers Be the Next to Adapt?," (assuming she means adopt DeepSeek) is no. I've coupled her post with another that indicates "Researchers have found that DeepSeek failed every single security test thrown at it." If she means the adopting the model that DeepSeek uses, well still no if the security flaws aren't fixed. Come on folks, let's not return to the days when we hop on and adopt new tech simply because its new and shiny. Toss a thank you to Stephen Abram as you read more at:

Zoom gets slapped

Everybody's favorite videoconferencing solution got its hands slapped by Sococo who claims Zoom uses five of its patents to "create an online office where individuals and teammates can connect with each other via voice, chat, and video." Sococo claims that Zoom partner, Welo, hired their former employees who then developed the same technology for Zoom. If true, it sounds like a no-no to me.
