You're very astute to read the PinHawk!

I know when evaluating AI, "being a big suckup" is tops on my list of criteria! It's generally acknowledged that AI tools want to please and that, in part, goes to the creation of unreal answers, or hallucinations. But OpenAI claims they've trained it to respond this way because people liked ChatGPT being sycophantic. If you don't like this behavior, there is hope. "In a February 12, 2025 interview, members of OpenAI's model-behavior team told The Verge that eliminating AI sycophancy is a priority: future ChatGPT versions should 'give honest feedback rather than empty praise' and act 'more like a thoughtful colleague than a people pleaser.'" Pause with purpose

I like check lists and I like the collaboration checklist developed by Karin Hurt and David Dye. They don't mention whether it is a prioritized check list or not, but I would change the order of their list. They say:
1. What do I know?
2. Who needs to know it?
3. Do they know it?
4. Who does this decision affect?
5. What do I need to learn?
I think the last, "What do I need to learn?" is second only to "What do I know?" in its criticality. I also love the conclusion. "Use it before your next meeting. Before you roll out a change. Before you assume alignment." and the best, "Because the best human-centered leaders don't just move fast-they pause with purpose." Preach it brother!

I've never met Corey Garver, but his comments in this post today have me agreeing with him. I like and agree with "Change in technology often requires a change in human behaviour," "You need to keep in mind there are multiple audiences that you need to persuade and appeal to," and "Law firms often chase the 'shiny object' - the latest trending tool - without preparing the backend infrastructure to support it." But the real kicker is, "There's a lot of saturation in the market... Some vendors just add 'AI' to their product description and then can't explain what problem the product actually solves." Amen brother! Read more at CANADIAN Lawyer: Legal tech often fails due to human errors, these are the most common ones
