I wish I could credit the writer for this fascinating post, but there is no name listed. I was surprised to see data from a TransUnion report that showed "U.S. businesses lost about 9.8 % of their revenue to fraud in the 12 months ending in mid-2025." I haven't worked in organizations large enough to require this kind of monitoring, but the process is fascinating and the use of AI could be interesting. "AI detects fraud in corporate communications by analyzing patterns in emails, chats, and shared documents. It flags unusual activity early, giving legal and compliance teams the chance to stop risks before they escalate. By learning normal communication behavior, AI uncovers subtle threats that manual review often misses." Read more at logikcull blog: How AI Detects Fraud Patterns Across Corporate Communications

Keep waiting

When it comes to cybersecurity superintelligence Sinisa Markovic warns up not to hold our breath. I found this sentence remarkable. "AI is spreading faster than any major technology in history, according to a Microsoft report, and enterprise environments are feeling the impact in real time." Think about that. Never has such an imperfect software tool progressed so quickly. Think about that as you read more at HELPNETSECURITY: Waiting for AI superintelligence? Don't hold your breath

What is "good enough?"

Gregory Zerzan, the top lawyer at US Department of Transportation has an interesting take on the use of AI to draft agency rules. He says, "We don't need the perfect rule on XYZ. We don't even need a very good rule on XYZ. We want good enough." I find that a fascinating approach. There are indeed times when good enough works, but there are as many, if not more instances where it does not. Most of what people classify as good enough can also be classified as AI slop. Sounds like I need to write an update to my 2012 post, "When Good Enough - Isn't. A spotlight on Law Firm Security," and call it "When Good Enough - Isn't. A spotlight on AI." Read more at ars technica: "Wildly irresponsible": DOT's use of AI to draft safety rules sparks concerns
